Sebagai kelanjutan dari Kompetensi Darar Horatory Exposition
adalah Offering.
Secara sederhana dalam bahasa Indonesia offering bisa
diartikan sebagai penawaran atau menawarkan. Jadi yang akan kita pelajari nanti
adalah bagaimana cara memberi penawaran dalam Bahasa Inggris. Berbagai jenis
penawaran yang bisa dilakukan seperti menawarkan pertolongan (help) menawarkan
baran atau sesuatu (something) menawarkan kepada seseorang (to someone) dan
sebagainya
Baiklah simaklah uraian berikut :

Offering adalah sebuah ekspresi yang
digunakan untuk menawarkan sesuatu. Sama dengan bahasa indonesia ketika kita
menawarkan sesuatu ada cara yang resmi (formal) dan ada cara yang tidak resmi (
informal). Berikut adalah beberapa expressi offering yang sering kita gunakan.
Would
you like…?
Kata would you like diiikuti oleh kata benda ( yang
ditawarkan) atau kata To ditambah infinitive
Contoh
:
Would you like something to eat ?
Would you like to have a just ?
Would you like to read magazine ?
Do you
want…?
Sama dengan Would you like... do you want ....juga
diikuti oleh to + Verb1
Contoh
:
Do you want some juice ?
Do you want something to drink ?
Do you want to get a newspaper ?
Do you want some food ?
Would
you care for…?
Setelah for biasanya diikuti oleh kata benda yang
ditawarkan
Contoh
:
‘Would you care for newspaper , Mr.John ?’
“Would you care for a cup of coffee , sir?”

How

Expressi how about setelah kata about diikuti oleh
gerund atau kata benda.
Contoh.

Accepting an Offer:
