PRAYING A SICK FRIEND

From many studies, the power of prayer has been proven to cure. The more you pray the better, as long as you pray you CAN IMAGINE PEOPLE.

There is little experience about this.

After retiring, there was a former boss of mine who had cancer. Prof. Hidayat SpOG K. When he was visiting, his desire was to be able to play the violin at the POGI Congress (Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology) held in Mataram. The congress continued for a few more months and by medical calculation he was not "oblivious" anymore. I ask for his permission to work my way up.

I asked for a photo of him when he played. Then I wrote a letter to ALL KANDUNGAN DOCTORS throughout Indonesia, at that time around 1500 people. My letter gave me scanning his photo when he was healthy and playing the violin. I ask friends for every night at 20:00, stop the activity for a moment and pray by imagining prof playing violin in the congress.

Alhamdulillah, he is getting better and can play violin at the POGI congress. A few months later he died.

A week before he died I was visited at the hospital and while crying he said: "You're right brother. A doctor needs back up income. Just look at me this. One year of illness, the treasure that I collected for 40 years was gone with nothing" At that time 2 houses and 3 prof cars were gone so the car was lent by friends.

MENDOAKAN TEMAN YG SAKIT

Dari banyak penelitian, kekuatan doa sudah terbukti bisa menyembuhkan.  Semakin banyak yg mendoakan semakin bagus, sepanjang yg  mendoakan BISA MEMBAYANGKAN ORANG YG DI DOAKAN.

Ada sedikit pengalaman tentang ini.

Setelah pensiun, ada mantan atasan saya yg sakit kanker. Prof. Hidayat SpOG K. Ketika beliau sy sambangi, keinginannya agar bisa main biola di konggres POGI (Persatuan Obstetri dan Ginekologi) yg diadakan di Mataram. Konggres masih berlangsung beberapa bulan lagi dan secara perhitungan medis beliau tidak "nututi" lagi. Saya meminta ijin beliau utk berupaya dengan cara saya.

Saya meminta foto beliau ketika main beliau. Kemudian  saya menulis surat ke SEMUA DOKTER KANDUNGAN se Indonesia, saat itu sekitar 1500 orang. Surat sy beri scanning foto beliau saat sehat dan memainkan biola. Saya minta teman teman utk setiap malam jam 20.00, menghentikan kegiatan sejenak dan berdoa dengan cara membayangkan prof main biola di konggres.

Alhamdulillah, prof membaik dan bisa main biola di konggres POGI. Beberapa bulan kemudian beliau meninggal.

Seminggu sebelum meninggal beliau saya sambangi di RS dan sambil menangis beliau mengatakan :"Anda benar dik. Seorang dokter perlu back up income. Coba lihat saya ini. Sakit satu tahun, harta yg saya kumpulkan selama 40 tahun habis tidak bersisa" Saat itu 2 rumah dan 3 mobil prof habis sehingga dipinjami mobil oleh teman teman.
